how to close or cancel rbl credit card
BIG mistake; blocking card instead of cancel or close.
I have experience with HDFC credit card called customer care asked them to cancel but they blocked the card.
after that new card generated along with annual fee.
Even credit card not delivered to me. After 3 months I am getting bill details with 4 digits of new credit card. Bill not paid by me
Around 2000₹ accumulated interested on annual fee.
My credit score affected.
Beware while closing credit card by phone call
There is a miscommunication occurs. Because of sales person enthusiasm.
my case: I got approved for lifetime free rbl credit card. after that sales person called me asking to upgrade the card voice not clear he may not old the annual fees.
now its annual fee of 3000₹
after 1 year another call from executive said 20x rewards points ₹2 cash back every spend and with same annual fee 1st year.
Now its 4999₹ annual fee. Only 1000 inr discounted in annual 20x reward points on only on dining. I asked him 3 times he said yes.
at 3rd year I have to close the rbl Card because high annual fee not suitable benefits for me ex: airport lounge access.
Before cancelling or closing the rbl credit card
1st Billing cycle April 18 to may 19
So i have to close my credit card in March 18- April
Redeem all the reward points 0.20% cashback on our spending. 200₹ on 10000 spending.
